Daddy and Teeth

Father's Day was pretty low key around here. Auntie Em and Uncle Outlaw headed back to OK and we had gone out to dinner the night before (Uno Pizza - yum!) Plus, I had to get ready to head to campus to listen to some band camp auditions. Anyway, here are some pics with Daddy. He's such a good one, too!

This was Jonathan's idea - he piled all of her buddies on him and even put frog lovie on his head. Silly Daddy!

Reading the book Madelyn got Daddy for Father's Day at bedtime. She's a bookworm!

So, apparently I'm behind on brushing Madelyn's teeth. According to several books, you're supposed to start as soon as they have teeth. Well, she's working on her fifth one. She has all four central incisors and her first lower left lateral incisor is peaking through the gum. So, we've started brushing her teeth at night. Apparently you're supposed to brush twice a day! Since we've just started, we'll slowly work up to twice a day. She does fine with it. The bottom teeth are the hardest because she tucks her chin and her tongue gets in the way. Hard to believe how fast she's growing up!

Standing Tall

I'm listening to Madelyn fight sleep right now and trying to post quickly so I can go in 5 minutes and soothe her. She's been drooling pretty heavily again and had a slight fever yesterday, so I think new teeth are eminent.

These pictures are from her 10 month "birthday." As you can see, she's exploring everything these days. She's even pulling herself up to stand like a pro now.

Her new "duck tub." She loves it. It even quacks when you squeeze it's beak.

Fashionista

We were in San Antonio for Valentine's Day weekend and had lots of fun. Madelyn didn't get to see the Alamo (too windy and chilly) but she did find her way to the San Marcos Outlet Mall.
Here are her new sunglasses that she picked out. Jonathan says she looks like Elton John. Michael Kors eat your heart out!!

And because I keep forgetting to post a picture of her bath seat, here's one. It took me forever to find a bath seat like this. Apparently the old yellow kind that would just suction cup to the bottom of the tub aren't safe. This is one crazy contraption, but she loves it because it means she can play with her bath toys in the big tub!
