Just an ordinary Sunday

Sorry it's been so long blog friends. It's hard to blog when your insides are revolting. And, we've got a new, fancy camera which means learning new software, shooting techniques, and I've decided to host all of our pictures on photobucket.
Today has been a pretty good day thus far. My stomach is feeling pretty good and Madelyn has been such a happy little girl today.

She loves to run around in circles. Giggling the whole time!

And her latest trick? Attempting a summersault. But... she falls sideways and... giggles!
Oh, and the other members of the family have made it to the blog. Check out their pictures on the right ------------->

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! We had a lot of fun here at our house - just staying in, being a family, shakin' our booties (See video...), and watching a movie to help us stay up late. Madelyn went to bed at her usual time while Jonathan and I stayed up for a champagne toast at midnight. {Oh and I'm experimenting with uploading images via Photobucket. Fingers-crossed that the quality is better.}

THE Bookshelf

One of Madelyn's favorite gifts this Christmas is a bookshelf built by Uncle Outlaw. Completely. Handmade. Handpainted. It's BEAUTIFUL!

She's really needed a bookshelf and I couldn't find a cheap one that I liked and was sturdy. Her books used to just be piled up in a corner. Now, they're on her bookshelf. Or at least most of the time they are...

More Christmas in OK

Somehow, I only took one picture on Christmas Day. Must mean that we were busy...
It's a cute picture of Auntie Em, Madelyn and Big Bird!

We braved the roads and weather to go shopping the day after Christmas. Surprisingly the stores weren't bad at all. I think that people were still stuck in shelters and trying to get home to their families. We got a few good deals (I never buy Christmas cards full price - wait til after Christmas. There are usually tons of great ones left and at 50% off!) and somehow managed to go out and get back home in one piece.

Madelyn has a love/hate relationship with these shoes and I think her face in this one completely captures her sentiments.

Jonathan and I even snuck away to watch "Sherlock Holmes" with some of the fam. What an exciting movie and tasty popcorn.
We also went to Van's Pig Stand on our last night in OK for a celebratory dinner for Jonathan. It's his FAVORITE BBQ. It was also Madelyn's inaugural visit to such a fine eating establishment. (If you've been there, you know what I mean...)
